Agrilight framework concept
- Development of a frame assembly of a Krone maize chopper in carbon fibre construction with hybrid load introduction elements as part of the AGRILIGHT funding project
- Focus of the project: Mass reduction of frames and add-on elements by at least 33% / 400kg
- Only possible through consistent use of fibre composite elements with simultaneous functional integration
- Integration of composite components into existing production and maintenance processes
- Use of finite element calculations for structural design
- Production of a prototype made of CFRP laminate in vacuum infusion as well as CFRP and GFRP sandwich elements
- Integration of steel load introduction elements in co-operation with TU Clausthal and TU Hannover
- Finalist at the JEC Innovation Awards, category "Equipment Machinery & Heavy Industries"
