Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM)
- Production of composite components using the RTM process
- Dry fibres are prefabricated and inserted into the mould
- Mould is closed with second mould half by vacuum or screw connection
- Resin is pumped into the mould by overpressure and thus impregnates the fibres
- Enables fibre volume content of up to 50-55%
- Enables high cycle rates and is therefore suitable for higher quantities
